Just like *ranga*, *billa* also has a story.
billa went to Texas A and M for his Mechanical Engineering and then moved into a lucrative job at a world famous oil company in Houston. His company has offered him a permanant job and offered to do his Green Card. But they don't know he will be leaving his job to go to Dubai because of Green Card logjam and uncertaainity that prevails.

It looks like Mr.Obama is Changing the wrong thing, Immigration policy badly needs an update, he needs to fix that first, cool aid wont help.If the roof is broken you need to fix roof, that should be the priority, instead painting neighbours door and putting christmas lights in summer will not fix the problem. Harvard should take his degree back.

the fact that there were so many EAD applicants through June/July - the workload will be very high on USCIS so everyone will file at the earliest ie proposed 120 days prior to expiry.

Here is where I am -
Make Your Appointment with INFOPASS -> "Please select Kind of Service you need"
I have these many options - which one should I choose?
1. You need Service on a case that has already been filed
2. You are a new Permanent Resident and have not yet received your Permanent Resident Card
3. You want to file an application in person
4. You need information or other services
5. You need a form

my situation is similar to JunRN's. My RN position is with Union Contact. I got Prevailing Wage Survey in early July. By law I can only file I140 at least 30 days after sending the Union a copy of the petition, i.e., in earyly August. I also have similar concern that my PD will be in August.:mad:

I did my address change last month and got soft update...my dates are also current.On friday I got a notice from USCIS for biometrics...don't know what triggered it..still waiting for the biometrics notice for my family.

Sorry to know about your layoff. What I would suggest is try to get a Consulting company ( maybe desi ) to transfer your H1. That would give you some leeway to find a project again.

SKIL Bill will resolve lot of our issues. There are lot of people supporting this BILL. And, many Big companies are behind this BILL. Still, this Bill is stuck in the congress for many months. Why ? What is happening with this Bill ? We don't know the future of this Bill ? It is in a Black box now !
But,we have to do something to pass this BILL. What options we have ?

I have similar situation, got all my Receipts and got FP appointment. My H1 expired in 1st week of September. I would like to have H1 extended but, my employer and lawyer are saying "it is not possible now, and you will get your EAD dont worry".
Is there any way that i can get my H1 extended
Hi what kind of lawyer he is to say it is ok work after H1B expires with no EAD in hand. Technically you cannot work until you receive your EAD.
Ask your employer to see if he will do an extension if you pay for the expenses.

A Memorandum of Marriage is different from the Certificate of Marriage.
A Memorandum of Marriage is required to obtain a Marriage Certificate.
Here is a sample (Schedule A) of the Memorandum of Marriage.
You will need to obtain one from your local Marriage Court.
